Real-world electric car (EV) range and efficiencyA database of currently available EV models and their real world performance based on Bjørn Nyland's tests. Each entry links to Bjørn's range test video. We also show the comparison of the real-world range test results to EPA and WLTP standard ranges. We hope this data helps making your EV buying decision.
How to read the data
The column "Real Range" specifies the ranges tested by Bjørn (separately at 90km/h and 120km/h speed and in winter and summer conditions). A link to the video of the test is given in a separate column.
Measured in usage Wh/km (Watt-hours per km, lower is better). This is the equivalent of liters per km for a internal combustion engine vehicle. Example: a vehicle with 150 Wh/km usage and a 50kwh battery would in average lead to 333km of range. (50'000 Wh / 150 Wh/km).
