Fiat 500e
The Fiat 500e managed only 249 km at 90 km/h in the summer test, one of the shortest ranges and just 78% of its WLTP rating. Usable capacity measured 36.2 kWh, and 146 Wh/km was disappointing for such a small, light car, compared with the Mini or the Opel Corsa-e. In the convertible tested, consumption with the roof open was surprisingly the same, as switching off the climate control offset the extra drag. With a fairly flat charging curve, the 1,000 km challenge would take an estimated 12 hours, and it came across as a far better EV than the old 500e.
