Tesla Model Y
Long Range AWD (2021)
The Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD (2021) reached 473 km at 90 km/h in summer and 452 km at 4 °C, one of the smallest seasonal drops recorded. This video compares tyres and aero wheel caps: on the original 19-inch Hankook tyres it used just 142 Wh/km at 90 km/h, less than on narrower 18-inch tyres the day before. The caps saved about 3% at 120 km/h, a speed at which it used less energy than much smaller cars such as the Citroën ë-C4. The main complaint was the firm suspension, which made bridge joints hard on the back.
