Volvo XC40 Recharge
69 kWh FWD
The front-wheel-drive Volvo XC40 Recharge with the smaller battery covered 360 km at 90 km/h in a test at a mild 17 °C, using 175 Wh/km. Its consumption was clearly lower than that of the all-wheel-drive version, a pattern also seen with the Polestar 2. The 2,120 kg test car had an unusual staggered tyre setup, with wider tyres at the rear even though it drives the front wheels. Even at 5% it still delivered full power and its arrival estimate was spot on, while at 120 km/h the range fell to 234 km.
