Mini Cooper SE
2020
The Mini Cooper SE used just 128 Wh/km at 90 km/h at 19 °C, one of the most efficient results in the summer tests. Its small battery still limits the range to 236 km. Amusingly, it is more efficient than the BMW i3, whose drivetrain and battery it uses, despite being heavier, which comes down to its small frontal area. At 120 km/h it was in the same league as the Hyundai Ioniq and Tesla Model 3, but the ride felt firm and adaptive cruise control was missed.
