Solarman HEMS: TL;DR
Zerofy transforms your Solarman PV system into a complete Home Energy Management System (HEMS). Monitor production, optimize self-consumption, and control your connected devices – all from one app. No additional hardware required.
About Solarman
Solarman (IGEN Tech, Wuxi, China) does not make inverters: it makes data loggers such as the LSW-3 Wi-Fi stick and runs the SOLARMAN Smart platform, which according to IGEN works with about 200 inverter brands, including Deye. If your inverter’s app is SOLARMAN Smart, your data comes through Solarman whatever brand is on the inverter. Its monitoring app is SOLARMAN Smart.
What is a Home Energy Management System?
A HEMS (Home Energy Management System) helps you get the most out of your solar installation. It monitors your PV production in real-time and automatically steers connected devices like EV chargers, heat pumps, and smart plugs to maximize self-consumption.
With Zerofy as your Solarman HEMS, you can:
- Monitor real-time solar production and home consumption
- Optimize self-consumption through intelligent device control
- Save on electricity bills with dynamic tariff integration
- Track your energy independence and CO₂ savings
Key Features
Real-time Monitoring
See live data from your Solarman inverter: current production, consumption, grid feed-in, and battery status.
Smart Autopilot
Automatically control EV charging, heat pumps, and appliances based on solar surplus.
Dynamic Tariffs
Integrate electricity spot prices (Tibber, aWATTar, etc.) to optimize for cost savings.
What Solarman offers on its own
Before connecting Solarman to Zerofy, it helps to know what Solarman offers on its own:
- EV charging: Solarman has no EV charger and no own surplus-charging function; whether surplus charging is possible depends on the inverter brand behind the logger. Deye’s SUN-EVSE charger, for example, can be monitored and controlled in Solarman when it is paired with a Deye hybrid inverter.
- Heating: Solarman offers no heat pump or SG Ready control.
- Other loads: Solarman sells its own HEMS hardware for SOLARMAN Smart: the SP-2W smart plug, P1-2W and IR meter readers and the EMH-2 Smart Home Gateway, which IGEN markets for self-consumption and time-of-use tariff optimisation.
How It Works
- Connect your Solarman system – Zerofy connects to SOLARMAN Smart with your account login and reads PV production, meter (consumption) and battery data of your plant; a Solarman P1 meter reader can also be added as a separate electricity meter.
- Add your devices – Connect your EV, charger, heat pump, or smart plugs
- Enable Autopilot – Let Zerofy automatically optimize for solar self-consumption
- Track your savings – Monitor your energy independence and cost savings
Good to know: Zerofy finds devices per plant, so a P1 meter must be assigned to a plant in SOLARMAN Smart. If a plant has both an inverter and a P1 meter, Zerofy offers two meters with the same plant-level values; connect only one of them.
