Solarman + PHNIX: TL;DR
Solarman and PHNIX both connect to Zerofy, but automatic solar control of PHNIX isn't available yet. Zerofy reads your Solarman system through SOLARMAN Smart and controls your PHNIX heat pump through the PHNIX cloud. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with Solarman and PHNIX
| Solar data from Solarman | Live values and history, new data every 5 min |
| Connection to PHNIX | Cloud – your PHNIX account |
| Set room temperature | Yes |
| Set flow temperature | Yes |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Not available |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Not available |
In practice
- Autopilot isn’t available for PHNIX yet, so Zerofy won’t run your PHNIX heat pump on solar surplus automatically. You can see Solarman production and PHNIX in one app and adjust the room temperature and flow temperature from there.
- Because Zerofy does not run PHNIX units on surplus automatically, put the heating or pool-heating window into the middle of the day with a schedule; pool heat pumps run mainly in summer, when midday PV output is highest.
What Solarman and PHNIX offer on their own
Solarman: Solarman offers no heat pump or SG Ready control.
PHNIX: PHNIX’s “PV Ready” function lets the heat pump adjust its compressor frequency to the available solar power, controlled by a home energy manager or, if there is none, by PHNIX’s own Smart Meter. A “Spot Time” mode works with grid prices (target temperature, maximum frequency, six daily timers), and the Heco series also has an SG Ready interface.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Solarman production and controls your PHNIX heat pump to match, together with your other devices in one app.
Setting up Solarman and PHNIX in Zerofy
1. Connect Solarman
Zerofy connects to SOLARMAN Smart with your account login and reads PV production, meter (consumption) and battery data of your plant; a Solarman P1 meter reader can also be added as a separate electricity meter.
- Make sure your logger is online and your plant is set up in SOLARMAN Smart.
- In Zerofy, add an inverter, choose Solarman and log in with your SOLARMAN Smart e-mail and password.
- Optional: if the plant has a P1 meter, add it in meter setup under Solarman and select it from the discovered devices.
Good to know: Zerofy finds devices per plant, so a P1 meter must be assigned to a plant in SOLARMAN Smart. If a plant has both an inverter and a P1 meter, Zerofy offers two meters with the same plant-level values; connect only one of them.
Step-by-step guide for Solarman
2. Connect PHNIX
Zerofy connects to the PHNIX cloud with your PHNIX app login and shows the heat pump’s live status; you can set the room temperature and the water circulation temperature from Zerofy.
- Connect the heat pump to the internet and register it in the PHNIX app.
- In Zerofy, add PHNIX and log in with your PHNIX account credentials.
Good to know: Zerofy’s Autopilot does not yet run PHNIX heat pumps on solar surplus or dynamic prices; control from Zerofy is manual or by schedule.
About Solarman and PHNIX
Solarman – Solarman (IGEN Tech, Wuxi, China) does not make inverters: it makes data loggers such as the LSW-3 Wi-Fi stick and runs the SOLARMAN Smart platform, which according to IGEN works with about 200 inverter brands, including Deye. If your inverter’s app is SOLARMAN Smart, your data comes through Solarman whatever brand is on the inverter. Monitoring app: SOLARMAN Smart.
PHNIX – Guangdong PHNIX Eco-energy Solution Ltd. is a Chinese heat pump manufacturer based in Guangzhou (Nansha), founded in 2002. It makes air-to-water heat pumps for heating, cooling and hot water, hot-water heat pumps and swimming pool heat pumps, and exports about half its products, including to Europe. Products: Air-to-water heat pumps (Everest, Heco, GreenTherm Pro R290, HeatGreen), airExpert R290 all-in-one hot-water heat pump, full-inverter swimming pool heat pumps.
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
