Solarman + myStrom: TL;DR
Yes, Solarman and myStrom work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Solarman system through SOLARMAN Smart and controls your myStrom switch through the myStrom cloud. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with Solarman and myStrom
| Solar data from Solarman | Live values and history, new data every 5 min |
| Connection to myStrom | Cloud – your myStrom account |
| Switch on and off | Yes |
| Power history | Yes |
| Use as balcony solar meter | Yes |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Solar mode switches your myStrom switch on when there’s surplus, following your priority order and minimum runtime. Smart mode instead runs for a set number of minutes within the hours you allow.
- A myStrom plug can also measure a balcony solar system: set it as balcony solar meter in Zerofy.
- Even a small Solarman system (typically 0.8–12 kW) covers plug loads such as a dehumidifier or an e-bike charger on sunny days.
- Zerofy gets new Solarman data every 5 minutes and adjusts accordingly. A minimum runtime and an activation threshold in Autopilot keep passing clouds from interrupting switching.
- If you have a plug-in balcony PV system, plug it into a WiFi Switch and set that switch as balcony solar meter in Zerofy, so its production is counted in your energy flows.
What Solarman and myStrom offer on their own
Solarman: Solarman sells its own HEMS hardware for SOLARMAN Smart: the SP-2W smart plug, P1-2W and IR meter readers and the EMH-2 Smart Home Gateway, which IGEN markets for self-consumption and time-of-use tariff optimisation.
myStrom: The myStrom app records mini-PV production measured by a WiFi Switch every 30 seconds, and “Solar Actions” and “Power Actions” can switch other myStrom devices on these values, e.g. allow e-bike charging from 200 W; this needs the myStrom PLUS subscription (EUR 3.49/year). Whole-house surplus control comes from energy management partners such as Solar Manager or clever-PV, not from an inverter maker.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Solarman production and controls your myStrom switch to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up Solarman and myStrom in Zerofy
1. Connect Solarman
Zerofy connects to SOLARMAN Smart with your account login and reads PV production, meter (consumption) and battery data of your plant; a Solarman P1 meter reader can also be added as a separate electricity meter.
- Make sure your logger is online and your plant is set up in SOLARMAN Smart.
- In Zerofy, add an inverter, choose Solarman and log in with your SOLARMAN Smart e-mail and password.
- Optional: if the plant has a P1 meter, add it in meter setup under Solarman and select it from the discovered devices.
Good to know: Zerofy finds devices per plant, so a P1 meter must be assigned to a plant in SOLARMAN Smart. If a plant has both an inverter and a P1 meter, Zerofy offers two meters with the same plant-level values; connect only one of them.

2. Connect myStrom
Zerofy connects to your myStrom account; it switches the plugs on and off, records their power every 5 minutes and lets Autopilot run them on solar surplus or in Smart mode.
- Set up new myStrom plugs in the myStrom app.
- In Zerofy, add myStrom and link your myStrom account.

3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your myStrom switch, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your myStrom switch on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Solarman solar production.
About Solarman and myStrom
Solarman – Solarman (IGEN Tech, Wuxi, China) does not make inverters: it makes data loggers such as the LSW-3 Wi-Fi stick and runs the SOLARMAN Smart platform, which according to IGEN works with about 200 inverter brands, including Deye. If your inverter’s app is SOLARMAN Smart, your data comes through Solarman whatever brand is on the inverter. Monitoring app: SOLARMAN Smart.
myStrom – myStrom AG is a Swiss company based in Zurich, founded in 2011. Its WiFi Switch is a smart plug for up to 16 A that switches appliances and measures their power, and it is also used to measure the output of plug-in balcony PV systems. Products: myStrom WiFi Switch (CH and Schuko versions), WiFi Switch Zero, WiFi Switch Ex (outdoor, Wieland connector for mini-PV).
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
