Solarman + Huawei SCharger
Solarman + Huawei SCharger via OCPP: Zerofy matches the charging current to your solar surplus and to dynamic tariffs. Setup in minutes, no extra hardware.
Download Zerofy Plans and PricingSolar Charging
Automatically charge your EV with surplus solar power from your Solarman system. Solar surplus charging made easy.
Dynamic Tariffs
Optimize for electricity prices. Charge or run devices when rates are lowest, and use solar when prices are high.
Direct OCPP connection
Huawei SCharger connects to Zerofy over OCPP, Solarman through its cloud. No extra hardware.
Solarman + Huawei SCharger: TL;DR
Yes, Solarman and Huawei SCharger work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Solarman system through SOLARMAN Smart, and your Huawei SCharger connects to Zerofy directly over OCPP. Zerofy adjusts the charging current to the surplus. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.

| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Zerofy adjusts the charging current of your Huawei SCharger but doesn’t switch phases. On a three-phase connection, solar charging needs at least about 4.1 kW of surplus (6 A × 3 × 230 V); on a single-phase connection about 1.4 kW.
- Solarman systems range from balcony kits to rooftop systems (0.8–12 kW). A balcony system never reaches the 1.4 kW needed to start charging; a rooftop system of a few kW does on bright days, and three-phase charging needs about 4.1 kW.
- Zerofy gets new Solarman data every 5 minutes and adjusts accordingly. A minimum runtime and an activation threshold in Autopilot keep passing clouds from interrupting charging.
- If your car is connected to Zerofy too, turn on Autopilot for either the car or the charger, not both.
- In Huawei’s own mode, the 22KT charges three-phase from about 4.14 kW and drops to single-phase below that if “Switch Between Single and Three Phases” is on; it then charges on L1 only, so Huawei advises wiring L1 to the least-loaded phase. Via OCPP, Zerofy sets the power but not the phases, so the minimum is 6 A: about 1.4 kW single-phase or 4.1 kW three-phase.
What Solarman and Huawei SCharger offer on their own
Solarman: Solarman has no EV charger and no own surplus-charging function; whether surplus charging is possible depends on the inverter brand behind the logger. Deye’s SUN-EVSE charger, for example, can be monitored and controlled in Solarman when it is paired with a Deye hybrid inverter.
Huawei SCharger: Huawei’s own surplus mode is “PV Power Preferred” in FusionSolar. It needs a Huawei SUN2000 inverter and a Huawei Smart Power Sensor at the grid connection (DTSU666-FE directly, or an RS485 meter such as DTSU666-H relayed by the WLAN/FE Smart Dongle) and does not work in charger-only setups.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Solarman production and controls your Huawei SCharger to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up Solarman and Huawei SCharger in Zerofy
1. Connect Solarman
Zerofy connects to SOLARMAN Smart with your account login and reads PV production, meter (consumption) and battery data of your plant; a Solarman P1 meter reader can also be added as a separate electricity meter.
- Make sure your logger is online and your plant is set up in SOLARMAN Smart.
- In Zerofy, add an inverter, choose Solarman and log in with your SOLARMAN Smart e-mail and password.
- Optional: if the plant has a P1 meter, add it in meter setup under Solarman and select it from the discovered devices.
Good to know: Zerofy finds devices per plant, so a P1 meter must be assigned to a plant in SOLARMAN Smart. If a plant has both an inverter and a P1 meter, Zerofy offers two meters with the same plant-level values; connect only one of them.

2. Connect Huawei SCharger
The SCharger connects to Zerofy via OCPP, which is set in installer mode of the Huawei Fusion app; Zerofy can then start, stop and set the charging power.
- Update the charger to FusionCharge V100R023C10SPC220 or later (OTA via the app).
- In Zerofy, add a Huawei SCharger and copy the OCPP link (ocppconnect.net/<id>).
- In the Fusion app, connect to the charger’s Wi-Fi, log in with Installer Mode and open OCPP.
- Choose “Insecure transmission with basic authentication” and enter domain ocppconnect.net, port 80, path and username <id>, and any password.
Good to know: OCPP can only be set in installer mode, so many owners need their installer for the one-time setup. Older firmware must be updated first.

3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your Huawei SCharger, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your Huawei SCharger on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Solarman solar production.
About Solarman and Huawei SCharger
Solarman – Solarman (IGEN Tech, Wuxi, China) does not make inverters: it makes data loggers such as the LSW-3 Wi-Fi stick and runs the SOLARMAN Smart platform, which according to IGEN works with about 200 inverter brands, including Deye. If your inverter’s app is SOLARMAN Smart, your data comes through Solarman whatever brand is on the inverter. Monitoring app: SOLARMAN Smart.
Huawei SCharger – The SCharger is the wallbox of the Chinese inverter maker Huawei (7.4 kW single-phase or 22 kW three-phase), the natural choice for homes with a Huawei inverter. It is sold through solar installers and is set up and monitored in FusionSolar. Products: SCharger-7KS-S0, SCharger-22KT-S0.
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
