Enphase + PHNIX: TL;DR
Enphase and PHNIX both connect to Zerofy, but automatic solar control of PHNIX isn't available yet. Zerofy reads your Enphase system through Enphase App / Enlighten and controls your PHNIX heat pump through the PHNIX cloud. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with Enphase and PHNIX
| Solar data from Enphase | Live values and history, new data every 5 min, including the battery |
| Connection to PHNIX | Cloud – your PHNIX account |
| Set room temperature | Yes |
| Set flow temperature | Yes |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Not available |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Not available |
In practice
- Autopilot isn’t available for PHNIX yet, so Zerofy won’t run your PHNIX heat pump on solar surplus automatically. You can see Enphase production and PHNIX in one app and adjust the room temperature and flow temperature from there.
- Because Zerofy does not run PHNIX units on surplus automatically, put the heating or pool-heating window into the middle of the day with a schedule; pool heat pumps run mainly in summer, when midday PV output is highest.
What Enphase and PHNIX offer on their own
Enphase: The IQ Energy Router+ (IQ Energy Router plus Energy Meter and SG Ready Relay) controls one SG Ready heat pump. It only uses SG Ready states 2 (normal) and 3 (recommended on), and Enphase publishes wiring guides for Daikin Altherma 3, Vaillant aroTherm plus and iDM.
PHNIX: PHNIX’s “PV Ready” function lets the heat pump adjust its compressor frequency to the available solar power, controlled by a home energy manager or, if there is none, by PHNIX’s own Smart Meter. A “Spot Time” mode works with grid prices (target temperature, maximum frequency, six daily timers), and the Heco series also has an SG Ready interface.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Enphase production and controls your PHNIX heat pump to match, together with your other devices in one app.
Setting up Enphase and PHNIX in Zerofy
1. Connect Enphase
Zerofy connects to your system through the Enphase cloud: you log in with your Enphase Enlighten credentials and Zerofy reads PV production, meter (consumption) and battery data.
- Make sure your system is online and you have an account on Enphase Enlighten.
- In Zerofy, add an inverter, choose Enphase and log in with your Enlighten credentials.
- Configure the meters: the grid meter as main meter (bi-directional or consumption), production as a sub meter of type production.
Step-by-step guide for Enphase
2. Connect PHNIX
Zerofy connects to the PHNIX cloud with your PHNIX app login and shows the heat pump’s live status; you can set the room temperature and the water circulation temperature from Zerofy.
- Connect the heat pump to the internet and register it in the PHNIX app.
- In Zerofy, add PHNIX and log in with your PHNIX account credentials.
Good to know: Zerofy’s Autopilot does not yet run PHNIX heat pumps on solar surplus or dynamic prices; control from Zerofy is manual or by schedule.
About Enphase and PHNIX
Enphase – Enphase Energy (Fremont, California) makes microinverters: each panel gets its own IQ8 unit of about 300–330 VA, connected through an IQ Gateway. The AC-coupled IQ Battery 5P adds storage in 5 kWh steps, and everything is monitored in the Enphase App (Enlighten). Monitoring app: Enphase App / Enlighten.
PHNIX – Guangdong PHNIX Eco-energy Solution Ltd. is a Chinese heat pump manufacturer based in Guangzhou (Nansha), founded in 2002. It makes air-to-water heat pumps for heating, cooling and hot water, hot-water heat pumps and swimming pool heat pumps, and exports about half its products, including to Europe. Products: Air-to-water heat pumps (Everest, Heco, GreenTherm Pro R290, HeatGreen), airExpert R290 all-in-one hot-water heat pump, full-inverter swimming pool heat pumps.
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
