Solar Heating

Heat your home with free solar energy from your Weiheng PV system.

Dynamic Tariffs

Optimize for electricity prices. Charge or run devices when rates are lowest, and use solar when prices are high.

Cloud Integration

No hardware required. Connect your Weiheng and Nibe via cloud APIs in minutes.

Weiheng + Nibe: TL;DR

Yes, Weiheng and Nibe work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Weiheng system through ECOS and controls your Nibe heat pump through the Nibe cloud. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.

In practice

  • Hot water is the simplest heat store: Autopilot can use the hot-water boost of your Nibe heat pump to heat water in hours with surplus.
  • A heat pump draws roughly 1–3 kW while running, which a typical Weiheng home system (3.6–13 kW) can cover on sunny days.
  • Zerofy gets new Weiheng data every 5 minutes. Heat pumps shouldn’t switch often, so set a minimum runtime in Autopilot.
  • Zerofy also shows your Weiheng battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the heat pump.
  • Leave the normal hot-water comfort mode at a moderate level so the tank has headroom; a boost triggered on surplus then stores midday solar as hot water for the evening. EME 20 is not needed for this, since Zerofy reads the surplus from your inverter’s cloud.

What Weiheng and Nibe offer on their own

Weiheng: WHES lists heating among the functions of its ECOS energy management, along with tariff-based planning, but names no heat pump brands and doesn’t mention SG Ready.

Nibe: NIBE’s own PV solution is the EME 20 communication module for S-series units (S1155, S1255, SMO S40, VVM S320/S325). It reads the inverter over RS485 Modbus RTU (SunSpec) and, under menu 4.2.2 “Solar electricity”, lets the heat pump raise room, hot-water or pool temperature when there is surplus; with an extra energy meter household consumption can be prioritised.

Zerofy connects the two: it reads Weiheng production and controls your Nibe heat pump to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.

Setting up Weiheng and Nibe in Zerofy

1. Connect Weiheng

Zerofy connects through Weiheng’s partner cloud: you enter your system’s serial number in Zerofy, and Zerofy links the device and reads inverter, meter and battery data.

  1. Make sure your Weiheng system is online.
  2. In Zerofy, choose Weiheng and enter the serial number of your system.

2. Connect Nibe

Zerofy connects to the myUplink cloud API with your myUplink login (OAuth) and shows the heat pump as a Space Heating and a Hot Water Tank device; Autopilot controls the hot-water boost.

  1. Register the heat pump in myUplink and make sure it is online.
  2. Activate a myUplink Premium subscription for the system.
  3. In Zerofy, add Nibe and log in with your myUplink credentials.
  4. Enable Autopilot (Solar or Smart mode) for the Hot Water Tank.

Good to know: Without a myUplink Premium subscription the API access does not work. Zerofy currently steers only the hot-water boost; flow-temperature control is not available yet.

3. Turn on Autopilot

In Zerofy, open your Nibe heat pump, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.

Dynamic tariffs

Zerofy can also run your Nibe heat pump on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Weiheng solar production.

About Weiheng and Nibe

Weiheng – Weiheng (Jiangsu Weiheng Intelligent Technology, Wuxi, China) is a battery storage maker; in 2025 Weiheng Energy Storage and its home brand ECACTUS were merged into the WHES brand. For homes it sells all-in-one hybrid storage systems: the single-phase PP-S2 (3.6–10 kW, 4.99–19.9 kWh) and the three-phase PP-T1 (5–13 kW, 9.98–29.94 kWh). Monitoring app: ECOS.

Nibe – NIBE is a Swedish heat pump maker (Markaryd). Homeowners typically have a ground-source S1155/S1255, an air-to-water heat pump with an SMO or VVM indoor unit, or an exhaust-air F730/F750, all connected to the myUplink cloud. Products: S1155, S1255, S2125 with SMO S40 / VVM S320, F-series (F1155, F1255, F2120, F730, F750).

Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
