Automatically charge your EV with surplus solar power from your SL Energy system. Solar surplus charging made easy.
Dynamic Tariffs
Optimize for electricity prices. Charge or run devices when rates are lowest, and use solar when prices are high.
Cloud Integration
No hardware required. Connect your SL Energy and Easee via cloud APIs in minutes.
SL Energy + Easee: TL;DR
Yes, SL Energy and Easee work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your SL Energy system through Smart M and controls your Easee charger through the Easee cloud. Zerofy adjusts the charging current to the surplus. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.

| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Zerofy adjusts the charging current of your Easee charger but doesn’t switch phases. On a three-phase connection, solar charging needs at least about 4.1 kW of surplus (6 A × 3 × 230 V); on a single-phase connection about 1.4 kW.
- A typical SL Energy home system (3–12 kW) needs a sunny midday to reach the 4.1 kW three-phase minimum. Wired single-phase, the charger starts from about 1.4 kW but charges at no more than about 3.7 kW.
- Zerofy gets new SL Energy data every 5 minutes and adjusts accordingly. A minimum runtime and an activation threshold in Autopilot keep passing clouds from interrupting charging.
- Zerofy also shows your SL Energy battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the car.
- If your car is connected to Zerofy too, turn on Autopilot for either the car or the charger, not both.
- Easee needs at least 6 A to start, which is about 1.4 kW on one phase and 4.1 kW on three. If the charger’s phase mode is set to automatic, Zerofy warns you and plans with the three-phase minimum until Easee reports single-phase charging; a fixed single-phase setting lets charging start from about 1.4 kW, but caps it at about 3.7 kW.
What SL Energy and Easee offer on their own
SL Energy: SL Energy offers its own smart wallbox as part of the iShare-Home package, and the Smart M app lists charging piles among the devices it manages. SL Energy doesn’t publish details on solar-surplus charging or third-party wallboxes.
Easee: Easee’s own solar charging needs an Easee Equalizer on the site (the P1/HAN version reads the smart meter, Equalizer Amp measures with current sensors) and Easee as site operator. The Easee app then offers “Surplus only” and “Limited grid usage”; it does not read any inverter directly.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads SL Energy production and controls your Easee charger to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up SL Energy and Easee in Zerofy
1. Connect SL Energy
Zerofy connects to the SL Energy cloud: you log in with your SL Energy monitoring account (the one you use in the Smart M app).
- Make sure your inverter is online and registered on the SL Energy monitoring platform.
- In Zerofy, choose SL Energy and log in with your SL Energy account to grant access.
Good to know: For the battery, Zerofy supports forced charging but not switching the battery mode.

2. Connect Easee
Zerofy logs in to your Easee account and starts, stops and sets the charging current through the Easee cloud.
- Make sure your Easee charger is online and added to your Easee account.
- In Zerofy, add an Easee charger and log in with your Easee account.
Good to know: Data synchronisation depends on how often the Easee cloud updates, so live values in Zerofy can lag behind the charger.
3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your Easee charger, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your Easee charger on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your SL Energy solar production.
About SL Energy and Easee
SL Energy – SL Energy (Slenergy Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd., China) makes hybrid inverters such as the single-phase SL3.6-6KLV-W and SL3-10KLH-W and the three-phase SL5-12KRH-W, plus SL-BH high-voltage batteries. It also sells complete home packages (iShare-Home) with its own heat pumps and wallbox. Monitoring app: Smart M.
Easee – Easee is a Norwegian charger maker. Its current EU model Charge Max is a compact 22 kW box with built-in LTE and a MID meter that also runs on 3×230 V IT grids; the predecessor Charge Up leaves the EU market at the end of 2026. Products: Charge Max, Charge Up, Charge Lite, Charge, Home, One.
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
