Sungrow + Alpha Innotec: TL;DR
Yes, Sungrow and Alpha Innotec work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Sungrow system through Sungrow iSolarCloud and controls your Alpha Innotec heat pump through the Alpha Innotec cloud. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with Sungrow and Alpha Innotec
| Solar data from Sungrow | Live values and history, new data every 5 min, including the battery |
| Connection to Alpha Innotec | Cloud – your Alpha Innotec account |
| Hot-water boost | Yes |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Hot water is the simplest heat store: Autopilot can use the hot-water boost of your Alpha Innotec heat pump to heat water in hours with surplus.
- A heat pump draws roughly 1–3 kW while running, which a typical Sungrow home system (3–10 kW) can cover on sunny days.
- Zerofy gets new Sungrow data every 5 minutes. Heat pumps shouldn’t switch often, so set a minimum runtime in Autopilot.
- Zerofy also shows your Sungrow battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the heat pump.
- If the PV-Ready contact is wired to your inverter as well, decide which system triggers the hot-water run so the tank isn’t heated twice; with Zerofy the boost follows your inverter’s live surplus from its cloud, without extra wiring.
What Sungrow and Alpha Innotec offer on their own
Sungrow: SH-RT inverters have a DO relay that the iSolarCloud app can switch on export (Intelligent Mode: on once export reaches a set power, for at least 20 minutes), for example for an SG Ready heat pump via a contactor. The iHomeManager also has a DO port for heat pump control.
Alpha Innotec: All alpha innotec heat pumps with Luxtronik 2.0 or newer are PV-Ready and SG-Ready: a potential-free contact from the inverter (or a relay) starts the heat pump, which then heats at full power up to the return-temperature limit and makes hot water up to the maximum flow temperature. alpha innotec doesn’t name specific inverters; any inverter or energy manager with a switching contact works.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Sungrow production and controls your Alpha Innotec heat pump to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up Sungrow and Alpha Innotec in Zerofy
1. Connect Sungrow
Zerofy connects to your Sungrow system through the iSolarCloud cloud, using your iSolarCloud login.
- Make sure your Sungrow inverter is online and registered in iSolarCloud.
- Add Sungrow in Zerofy and log in with your iSolarCloud credentials.

2. Connect Alpha Innotec
Zerofy reaches alpha innotec heat pumps through the myUplink cloud, the same connector used for NIBE, with your myUplink login; Autopilot controls the hot-water boost.
- Register the heat pump (Luxtronik 2.1, current software) in the myUplink app.
- Make sure your myUplink account has the subscription needed for remote control.
- In Zerofy, connect myUplink and log in with your myUplink credentials.
- Enable Autopilot (Solar or Smart mode) for the hot-water tank.
Good to know: Only heat pumps on myUplink (Luxtronik 2.1) can be reached; Luxtronik 2.0 units that use heatpump24 can’t. Zerofy steers only the hot-water boost, not room or flow temperature.
3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your Alpha Innotec heat pump, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your Alpha Innotec heat pump on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Sungrow solar production.
About Sungrow and Alpha Innotec
Sungrow – Chinese inverter and storage maker based in Hefei. Homes typically have an SH-RS single-phase hybrid inverter (3–6 kW) or an SH-RT three-phase hybrid inverter (5–10 kW) with the SBR battery (6.4–25.6 kWh, 3.2 kWh modules), connected to the cloud through a WiNet-S/S2 dongle. Monitoring app: Sungrow iSolarCloud.
Alpha Innotec – alpha innotec is a German heat pump brand of ait-deutschland in Kasendorf, Bavaria. Its heat pumps run on the Luxtronik controller; units with Luxtronik 2.1 connect to the myUplink cloud, older Luxtronik 2.0 units use heatpump24. Products: Air-to-water and brine-to-water heat pumps with Luxtronik 2.1 control (myUplink) or Luxtronik 2.0 (heatpump24).
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
