SL Energy + Alpha Innotec: TL;DR
Yes, SL Energy and Alpha Innotec work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your SL Energy system through Smart M and controls your Alpha Innotec heat pump through the Alpha Innotec cloud. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with SL Energy and Alpha Innotec
| Solar data from SL Energy | Live values and history, new data every 5 min, including the battery |
| Connection to Alpha Innotec | Cloud – your Alpha Innotec account |
| Hot-water boost | Yes |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Hot water is the simplest heat store: Autopilot can use the hot-water boost of your Alpha Innotec heat pump to heat water in hours with surplus.
- A heat pump draws roughly 1–3 kW while running, which a typical SL Energy home system (3–12 kW) can cover on sunny days.
- Zerofy gets new SL Energy data every 5 minutes. Heat pumps shouldn’t switch often, so set a minimum runtime in Autopilot.
- Zerofy also shows your SL Energy battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the heat pump.
- If the PV-Ready contact is wired to your inverter as well, decide which system triggers the hot-water run so the tank isn’t heated twice; with Zerofy the boost follows your inverter’s live surplus from its cloud, without extra wiring.
What SL Energy and Alpha Innotec offer on their own
SL Energy: SL Energy sells its own heat pumps (SL-HP9KL and SL-HP12/18KR, 12.6 to 23.8 kW, R32) in the iShare-Home package, and its SmartBox gathers data from inverter, meter, wallbox and heat pump. Whether the heat pump runs on solar surplus isn’t documented publicly.
Alpha Innotec: All alpha innotec heat pumps with Luxtronik 2.0 or newer are PV-Ready and SG-Ready: a potential-free contact from the inverter (or a relay) starts the heat pump, which then heats at full power up to the return-temperature limit and makes hot water up to the maximum flow temperature. alpha innotec doesn’t name specific inverters; any inverter or energy manager with a switching contact works.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads SL Energy production and controls your Alpha Innotec heat pump to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up SL Energy and Alpha Innotec in Zerofy
1. Connect SL Energy
Zerofy connects to the SL Energy cloud: you log in with your SL Energy monitoring account (the one you use in the Smart M app).
- Make sure your inverter is online and registered on the SL Energy monitoring platform.
- In Zerofy, choose SL Energy and log in with your SL Energy account to grant access.
Good to know: For the battery, Zerofy supports forced charging but not switching the battery mode.

2. Connect Alpha Innotec
Zerofy reaches alpha innotec heat pumps through the myUplink cloud, the same connector used for NIBE, with your myUplink login; Autopilot controls the hot-water boost.
- Register the heat pump (Luxtronik 2.1, current software) in the myUplink app.
- Make sure your myUplink account has the subscription needed for remote control.
- In Zerofy, connect myUplink and log in with your myUplink credentials.
- Enable Autopilot (Solar or Smart mode) for the hot-water tank.
Good to know: Only heat pumps on myUplink (Luxtronik 2.1) can be reached; Luxtronik 2.0 units that use heatpump24 can’t. Zerofy steers only the hot-water boost, not room or flow temperature.
3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your Alpha Innotec heat pump, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your Alpha Innotec heat pump on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your SL Energy solar production.
About SL Energy and Alpha Innotec
SL Energy – SL Energy (Slenergy Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd., China) makes hybrid inverters such as the single-phase SL3.6-6KLV-W and SL3-10KLH-W and the three-phase SL5-12KRH-W, plus SL-BH high-voltage batteries. It also sells complete home packages (iShare-Home) with its own heat pumps and wallbox. Monitoring app: Smart M.
Alpha Innotec – alpha innotec is a German heat pump brand of ait-deutschland in Kasendorf, Bavaria. Its heat pumps run on the Luxtronik controller; units with Luxtronik 2.1 connect to the myUplink cloud, older Luxtronik 2.0 units use heatpump24. Products: Air-to-water and brine-to-water heat pumps with Luxtronik 2.1 control (myUplink) or Luxtronik 2.0 (heatpump24).
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
