Huawei + Sensibo: TL;DR
Yes, Huawei and Sensibo work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Huawei system through Huawei FusionSolar and controls your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner through the Sensibo cloud. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with Huawei and Sensibo
| Solar data from Huawei | Live values and history, new data every 5 min, including the battery |
| Connection to Sensibo | Cloud – your Sensibo account |
| Switch on and off | Yes |
| Set room temperature | Yes |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Autopilot switches the air conditioner on when there’s surplus; the unit’s own setpoint logic still decides when it heats or cools.
- Zerofy gets new Huawei data every 5 minutes and adjusts accordingly. A minimum runtime and an activation threshold in Autopilot keep passing clouds from interrupting the device.
- Zerofy also shows your Huawei battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the air conditioner.
- The API key gives Zerofy access to your Sensibo account: keep it in place, because deleting or regenerating it at home.sensibo.com/me/api cuts the connection until you enter a new key in Zerofy.
What Huawei and Sensibo offer on their own
Huawei: The SmartAssistant (EMMA) switches one SG Ready heat pump directly through its DO dry contacts or an external relay, and a second one through a Shelly. It also controls Vaillant aroTHERM plus via EEBUS and the Askoheat+ heating rod via Modbus TCP.
Sensibo: The Sensibo app automates by schedules, geofencing and “Climate React” (reacting to room temperature and humidity) and added kWh and cost tracking in October 2026. Sensibo does not advertise a mode that follows PV surplus automatically; Enphase sells Sensibo controllers, but the pairing means manually matching AC use to the production shown in the Enphase app.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Huawei production and controls your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up Huawei and Sensibo in Zerofy
1. Connect Huawei
Zerofy connects to Huawei FusionSolar with the login of a FusionSolar owner account; the older Northbound API account still works as a legacy option.
- Check that your FusionSolar account has a verified email address (System → Personal Settings).
- Make sure it is an Owner account; if you only have an installer or company account, invite a new user with the role Owner in the FusionSolar app.
- Add Huawei FusionSolar in Zerofy, choose the FusionSolar login and enter the owner account’s credentials.
Good to know: Installer and company accounts don’t work, and the owner invitation can only be sent from the FusionSolar smartphone app, not the web portal. If you use the legacy Northbound API, create a dedicated account for Zerofy, because sharing it with other services can cause data gaps.
2. Connect Sensibo
Zerofy connects to your Sensibo account with an API key; it can switch the air conditioner on and off, set the target temperature and let Autopilot run it on solar surplus or in Smart mode.
- Set up the Sensibo device in the Sensibo app.
- Create an API key at home.sensibo.com/me/api.
- In Zerofy, add Sensibo and paste the API key.

3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Huawei solar production.
About Huawei and Sensibo
Huawei – Chinese manufacturer (Huawei Digital Power, Shenzhen). Homes typically have a SUN2000 hybrid inverter, either the single-phase L1 (2–6 kW) or the three-phase M1 (3–10 kW), with a LUNA2000 battery, plus optional optimizers and the SmartGuard backup box. Monitoring app: Huawei FusionSolar.
Sensibo – Sensibo was founded in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 2013. Its controllers (Sky, Air, Air PRO) make existing air conditioners, mini-splits and air-to-air heat pumps smart by sending the same infrared commands as the original remote. Products: Sensibo Sky, Sensibo Air, Sensibo Air PRO (plus Room Sensor and Elements/Pure air-quality devices).
Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
