Solar Heating

Heat your home with free solar energy from your Growatt PV system.

Dynamic Tariffs

Optimize for electricity prices. Charge or run devices when rates are lowest, and use solar when prices are high.

Cloud Integration

No hardware required. Connect your Growatt and Sensibo via cloud APIs in minutes.

Growatt + Sensibo: TL;DR

Yes, Growatt and Sensibo work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Growatt system through ShinePhone and controls your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner through the Sensibo cloud. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.

What Zerofy can do with Growatt and Sensibo

In practice

  • Autopilot switches the air conditioner on when there’s surplus; the unit’s own setpoint logic still decides when it heats or cools.
  • Zerofy gets new Growatt data every 5 minutes and adjusts accordingly. A minimum runtime and an activation threshold in Autopilot keep passing clouds from interrupting the device.
  • Zerofy also shows your Growatt battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the air conditioner.
  • The API key gives Zerofy access to your Sensibo account: keep it in place, because deleting or regenerating it at home.sensibo.com/me/api cuts the connection until you enter a new key in Zerofy.

What Growatt and Sensibo offer on their own

Growatt: The GroBoost heater controller sends surplus solar to immersion heaters, adjustable from 0 to 10.8 kW across three outputs (three 3.6 kW single-phase heaters or one three-phase heater). Growatt’s own product pages don’t mention control of heat pumps or SG Ready.

Sensibo: The Sensibo app automates by schedules, geofencing and “Climate React” (reacting to room temperature and humidity) and added kWh and cost tracking in October 2026. Sensibo does not advertise a mode that follows PV surplus automatically; Enphase sells Sensibo controllers, but the pairing means manually matching AC use to the production shown in the Enphase app.

Zerofy connects the two: it reads Growatt production and controls your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.

Setting up Growatt and Sensibo in Zerofy

1. Connect Growatt

Zerofy connects to the Growatt cloud: you log in with your ShinePhone credentials.

  1. Make sure your inverter is online and registered in the ShinePhone app.
  2. In Zerofy, choose Growatt and log in with your ShinePhone username and password.

Good to know: Inverter data is supported; battery and meter data may only be partly available depending on the system. Battery control and using the battery in Autopilot are listed as coming soon for Growatt.

2. Connect Sensibo

Zerofy connects to your Sensibo account with an API key; it can switch the air conditioner on and off, set the target temperature and let Autopilot run it on solar surplus or in Smart mode.

  1. Set up the Sensibo device in the Sensibo app.
  2. Create an API key at home.sensibo.com/me/api.
  3. In Zerofy, add Sensibo and paste the API key.

3. Turn on Autopilot

In Zerofy, open your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.

Dynamic tariffs

Zerofy can also run your Sensibo-controlled air conditioner on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Growatt solar production.

About Growatt and Sensibo

Growatt – Growatt (Shenzhen Growatt New Energy, China, founded 2011) makes string and hybrid inverters such as the MIN TL-X and MIN TL-XH series, the NEO microinverters and the NOAH 2000 balcony battery. Its own ecosystem, GroHome, adds the THOR wallboxes, APX HV batteries and the GroBoost heater controller. Monitoring app: ShinePhone.

Sensibo – Sensibo was founded in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 2013. Its controllers (Sky, Air, Air PRO) make existing air conditioners, mini-splits and air-to-air heat pumps smart by sending the same infrared commands as the original remote. Products: Sensibo Sky, Sensibo Air, Sensibo Air PRO (plus Room Sensor and Elements/Pure air-quality devices).

Manufacturer information last checked: October 2026.
