Deye + Wallbox
Deye + Wallbox via OCPP: Zerofy matches the charging current to your solar surplus and to dynamic tariffs. Setup in minutes, no extra hardware.

Automatically charge your EV with surplus solar power from your Deye system. Solar surplus charging made easy.
Dynamic Tariffs
Optimize for electricity prices. Charge or run devices when rates are lowest, and use solar when prices are high.
Direct OCPP connection
Wallbox connects to Zerofy over OCPP, Deye through its cloud. No extra hardware.
Deye + Wallbox: TL;DR
Yes, Deye and Wallbox work together in Zerofy. Zerofy reads your Deye system through Deye Cloud, and your Wallbox charger connects to Zerofy directly over OCPP. Zerofy adjusts the charging current to the surplus. Smart mode also follows dynamic electricity prices and solar forecasts. No extra hardware needed.
What Zerofy can do with Deye and Wallbox

| Start and stop charging | Yes |
| Adjust charging current | Coming soon |
| Switch between 1 and 3 phases | Coming soon |
| Autopilot: Solar mode | Yes |
| Autopilot: Smart mode (tariffs and forecasts) | Yes |
In practice
- Phase switching for Wallbox is coming to Zerofy. Until then the charger uses the phases it’s wired with, so on a three-phase connection solar charging needs at least about 4.1 kW of surplus (6 A × 3 × 230 V).
- A typical Deye home system (5–12 kW) needs a sunny midday to reach the 4.1 kW three-phase minimum. Wired single-phase, the charger starts from about 1.4 kW but charges at no more than about 3.7 kW.
- Zerofy gets new Deye data every 5 minutes and adjusts accordingly. A minimum runtime and an activation threshold in Autopilot keep passing clouds from interrupting charging.
- Zerofy also shows your Deye battery, so you can see whether surplus goes into the battery or into the car.
- If your car is connected to Zerofy too, turn on Autopilot for either the car or the charger, not both.
- Wallbox’s Full green mode needs 6 A of surplus, about 1.4 kW single-phase or 3×6 A (about 4.1 kW) three-phase, and Wallbox asks for the inverter to be set to export mode. The Wallbox solar mode measures with its own meter, but Zerofy does not need it: Autopilot works out the surplus from the inverter you have connected.
What Deye and Wallbox offer on their own
Deye: Deye’s own SUN-EVSE11K01/22K01-EU-AC charger can be set up in the hybrid inverter’s Smart Devices menu with a “Solar energy only (SOC>95%)” time slot. This needs a Smart TX module on the inverter for the LoRa link, and not every Deye hybrid supports it.
Wallbox: Wallbox’s own Solar Charging (formerly Eco-Smart) needs a power meter sold by Wallbox at the grid connection and offers “Eco” (solar plus grid) and “Full green” (surplus only). With the meter, Pulsar Max and Pulsar Pro can drop from three to one phase when surplus is low (“3P Optimization”; tethered Pulsar Max units from August 2025 production); no inverter brand is read directly.
Zerofy connects the two: it reads Deye production and controls your Wallbox charger to match, together with your other devices in one app, with dynamic tariffs and forecast-based Smart mode.
Setting up Deye and Wallbox in Zerofy
1. Connect Deye
Zerofy connects to Deye Cloud with your Deye Cloud login and reads PV production, meter (consumption) and battery data.
- Register your system in Deye Cloud (web or the Deye Cloud app).
- In Zerofy, add an inverter, choose Deye and log in with your Deye Cloud credentials.
- Configure the meters: the grid meter as main meter (bi-directional or consumption), production as a sub meter of type production.
2. Connect Wallbox
Wallbox chargers connect to Zerofy via OCPP 1.6J, which you switch on in the myWallbox app; Zerofy shows you the exact server and charge point identity to enter.
- In Zerofy, add a Wallbox charger and copy the Server and Charge point identity.
- In the myWallbox app, open the charger settings, go to External Management → OCPP and turn OCPP on.
- Choose OCPP provider “Other”, paste both values, leave the password empty and save; the charger reboots and connects within 1–3 minutes.
Good to know: The charge point identity is case-sensitive, so use the copy buttons. While OCPP is active, charging is controlled from Zerofy instead of the myWallbox app; firmware updates, restarts and network settings stay in the myWallbox app.

3. Turn on Autopilot
In Zerofy, open your Wallbox charger, turn on Autopilot and choose Solar – or Smart to also use dynamic tariffs and forecasts. Set the priority, activation threshold and minimum runtime.
Dynamic tariffs
Zerofy can also run your Wallbox charger on dynamic electricity prices (EPEX Spot or Nord Pool, e.g. Tibber or aWATTar) or on a fixed time-of-use tariff. Smart mode combines those prices with forecasts of your household consumption and your Deye solar production.
About Deye and Wallbox
Deye – Deye (Ningbo Deye Inverter Technology, Ningbo, China) is best known for low-voltage hybrid inverters such as the three-phase SUN-5K to SUN-12K-SG04LP3-EU, used with 48 V batteries. It also makes SUN-M60/80/100G4 microinverters (600–1000 W) for balcony and small rooftop systems. Monitoring app: Deye Cloud.
Wallbox – Wallbox is a Spanish charger maker whose small Pulsar series is one of Europe’s most widely sold wallboxes, as a tethered or socket version. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland it is also sold as ABL Pulsar. Products: Pulsar Plus, Pulsar Max, Pulsar Pro, Commander 2, Copper SB.
