We know—we’ve been a bit quiet lately. That’s because we’ve had a lot to ship. After the big Zerofy 2.0 launch, our team has been hard at work expanding device support, enhancing smart energy control, and rolling out even more powerful optimization features.

This Q2 update brings smarter EV charging, deeper solar and battery integrations, and an even more intelligent Autopilot. Let’s dive in:

🔌 EV Charger Control: more reliable, more options, broader support

Your EV charging is now even more flexible and efficient:

• Generic OCPP Charger Support
  We’ve extended OCPP to allow to connect any OCPP charger with a generic OCPP charger in addition to brand-specific support.
• Manual Charge Rate Control
  Set the charging power directly when starting a session manually.
• Improved Variable Power Control
  Enhanced stability and responsiveness for variable-rate EV charging.

Expanded PV, Battery & Meter Integrations

We’ve added or improved support for a wide range of solar systems—now with full-stack integration (inverter, meter, battery) and smart control:

• Fronius
  Full support for inverters, meters, and batteries, including autarky/self-sufficiency stats and smart battery optimization.
• Huawei
  Integration now includes battery control, autarky monitoring, and real-time optimization with our advanced planning engine.
• Growatt
  Added support for both meters and batteries, enabling a complete and transparent energy overview.
• Solaredge
  Meter and battery integration added, allowing for full energy flow tracking and system-wide optimization.
• Sungrow
  Updated to the latest API for improved compatibility and battery automation with Autopilot and smart charging features.
• FOXESS
  Full support for inverters, meters, and batteries.
• SMA
  Improved support for meters and batteries, including stability improvements for real-time data syncing.

🧠 Optimization Modes: Cost-Optimal or Solar-Only? Your Choice.

Our optimization engine just got smarter—and more flexible. You can now choose between two modes of Autopilot:

• Smart Mode
  Our most advanced automation option. Smart mode performs cost-optimal energy planning, using a mix of inputs including:
  • Solar production forecasts
  • Day-ahead dynamic electricity prices
  • Solar feed-in tariffs
  • Device flexibility and priorities This mode ensures devices run at the most cost-effective times—automatically shifting energy use to match price dips, solar peaks, or battery state.
• Solar-Only Mode
  Prefer to run devices only when you’re generating your own energy? This mode automates loads exclusively when solar excess is available, ideal for maximizing self-consumption.

💡 Both optimization modes now also work in meter-only setups—without a connected inverter. Autopilot can steer charging and devices based purely on live data from your net or consumption meter.

💡 Electricity Prices: Custom Tariffs & Multi-Currency Support

We’ve made it easier than ever to configure your electricity pricing:

• Electricity Tariff Configuration
  Enter your own electricity pricing—fixed-rate, spot-based, or day/night. You can also define grid fees and solar feed-in tariffs.
• Multi-Currency Support
  In addition to EUR, Zerofy now supports CHF (Swiss Franc) and PLN (Polish Złoty), with more currencies coming soon.

These features ensure that your cost optimization is tailored to your real-world rates—across any tariff model or market.

We’ve continued improving the app experience to make energy control intuitive and seamless:

  We’ve simplified how you manage your home location in the app. This single location setting is now used consistently for:
