About Zerofy

Zerofy was founded by Criss Uudam and Till Quack. We are passionate and optimistic about electrification as not only a means to tackle climate change, but also an exciting new technology. Both of us have been driving EVs for a decade now, and especially Criss’ home has been equipped with several solar arrays, heat pumps, EV chargers and more. We personally faced the need to connect and optimize the interplay of solar generation, consumption for EVs and heating, as well as leveraging dynamic electricity tariffs. Putting our backgrounds in energy and software/AI together led us to tackle this problem and found Zerofy.

Prior to Zerofy, Criss had spent 15 years in the renewables industry building out utility-scale solar parks, consulting commercial developers on energy efficiency, building Estonia's nationwide fast charging network, and leading energy infrastructure investments in a fund. Till had been a startup founder and had product and engineering leadership roles at Qualcomm, Meta, Apple and several startups spending 15 years with API platforms, Computer Vision, AI, AR/VR.

Combining our backgrounds in energy and software we founded Zerofy and shipped the first version of our energy management platform in 2023.

As drivers of economic demand, households can play a major role in reducing carbon emissions. After all, 27% of Europe's total final energy consumption is directly consumed in households, 28% in transportation, and 70% of global carbon emissions indirectly attributable to households.

While consumers may sometimes feel powerless, they can have a major impact right now by reducing emissions through electrification of personal mobility, heating, and cooking. Home energy management is not only the operating system within such an electrified home, but also an integral part of the future electrified energy system, with high shares of renewables and prosumers on the grid.

Zerofy operates across Europe, with operational headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia and key presence in Zurich, Switzerland.

With funding from the Süvatehnoloogia iduettevõtja äriarenduse grant we are test marketing the Zerofy product in our target markets with the goal to quantify the impact of different marketing channels for deep tech product marketing. The project is financed from the Estonian state budget for the means of financing research and development.
